ABOUT WAKILI GROWTH
Hi, I'm Orina Mark, Founder of Wakili Growth.
My background is, weirdly enough, in engineering. I didn't start out thinking I'd spend my career helping law firms attract clients through the internet. But the journey from engineering to digital marketing has been an extremely rewarding one.

THE JOURNEY
From US Legal Marketing to Kenya
For years, my primary market has been law firms in the United States. It's a highly competitive market, and one that never seems to stand still, especially with the explosion of AI search.
Working in that environment has taught me a lot about what it takes for law firms to generate business online. I've seen how much work goes into getting a firm found on Google, building websites that convert visitors into enquiries, and adapting to new ways people search for legal services.
Then I started looking at what was happening back home in Kenya.
WHAT I NOTICED
The Gap That Led Me to Start Wakili Growth
I decided to do a spot check of Kenyan law firms to see how they were marketing themselves online.
What I found surprised me.
Many of the firms I looked at weren't doing some of the things we'd been doing for US law firms for years. Things that were helping those firms attract new enquiries from people who had never heard of them before.
For example:
SEO-optimized websites that are actively maintained.
Not just websites that exist, but websites that are regularly updated and optimized to help Google and AI search platforms understand the legal services a firm offers.
Content-driven marketing strategies.
Content designed to inform prospective clients, answer their questions, and build enough confidence for them to reach out. This means creating content for every stage of the client's journey, from their first search to the point where they're ready to contact an advocate.
Intentional local search marketing.
Google Business Profiles that are properly optimized and actively maintained to help law firms appear when prospective clients search for legal services in their area.
Technical SEO.
Making sure law firm websites are fast, mobile-responsive, easy to navigate, and technically structured so search engines can crawl and index their pages.
These weren't revolutionary marketing tactics. They were things I'd seen work in a much more competitive legal market, yet many of the Kenyan firms I examined weren't taking full advantage of them.
THE QUESTION
I started wondering why.
Could it be that the internet simply wasn't a meaningful source of business for law firms in Kenya?
I wasn't convinced.
According to DataReportal's Kenya figures, approximately 23.9 million Kenyans were using the internet in October 2026. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics also found that36.3% of households had internet access in its 2023/24 survey, rising to 54.1% among urban households.
And businesses were establishing their presence online too. KeNIC reported that Kenya had 129,140 registered .ke domains under management by June 2026, an increase of more than 16% in just one year.
Of course, these numbers don't tell us exactly how many Kenyans are searching for advocates online. But they made one thing clear to me: there was a substantial online market worth paying attention to.
The question was whether Kenyan law firms were doing enough to make themselves visible to the people searching for their services.
That's the gap I saw, and it's why I started Wakili Growth.
WHY WE'RE HERE
Why Wakili Growth Exists
I started Wakili Growth to bring the legal marketing experience I've gained working with US law firms into the Kenyan market.
I don't believe every law firm needs to market itself the same way. A corporate law firm looking for ongoing advisory instructions has very different goals from a family law practice trying to attract divorce or succession matters.
That's why our first job is to understand your firm and the legal work you want more of. From there, we research how prospective clients search for those services and build a marketing system around reaching them.
The goal is simple: help your law firm become a business that people can discover online, even when they've never heard of you before.
Let's Talk About Your Firm.
If you're a Kenyan law firm owner who wants the internet to become a more reliable source of qualified enquiries, I'd love to hear from you.
